Diva Challenge #102/ Zendala Dare #40

Laura's Weekly Diva Challenge this week is a duo-tangle featuring patterns Auraknot and Bunzo. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed drawing Auraknot. I haven't used it since it first came out and so many other great patterns keep cropping up lately...it's easy to lose track of those favorites. Bunzo is another super cool pattern and I think I got a better handle on it this time around than the last time I tried to tackle it...

Put this in my One Zentangle a Day sketchbook for easy reference...Feeling a little Valentine-y...wasn't sure if I'd like the red or not but it gives another dimension now that it's done...
This side shot made me realize I hadn't shaded the center Bunzo...oops!! Haha!

And moving on to Erin's Zendala Dare 40, finished this up this afternoon-been on a Tripoli kick lately...a little Shattuck and an Auraknotty star for the middle...viola! Have to say I'm rather happy with it!

Diva Challenge 101-UMT Phicops

So excited Ms Laura is back this week with another new challenge! Her dear hubby, B-rad, created a spankin' new tangle, Phicops, which became our UMT challenge this week-love it!! And after an especially hectic morning yesterday, an afternoon spent catching up on cleaning, I was more than happy to park my bottom and give this one a whirl...

Phicops, Caviar, Tripoli, Angelfish, Zinger, Fescu, Flux(ish)
Still working on the colored cardstock exercise from One Zentangle a Day and a pile of other projects waiting in the wings...and I'm thinking about reworking this week's zendala dare because it just won't let me go...

So absolutely not leaving the house today except for my Wednesday bike ride this morning, chores, then tackling more of these projects piling high on my plate (and maybe a little Harry... maybe...haha!)

Zendala Dare 37

After a good month off from challenges and dares and pretty much any kind of creativity projects, and staring at a nice pile of art goodies from Christmas, it was high time to get back on the horse again this week and start playing! I've got a couple painting projects well under way, jumped back in where I left off with One Zentangle a Day, started Carla Sonheim's Drawing Lab, and found the past three weeks' Zendala templates from Erin over at the Bright Owl. So much to catch up on!! And so many new toys to play with! Too much fun!

Making it in at the very last minute, I finished the week's Zendala Dare this afternoon:

Lanie, Tripoli, and W2
And tomorrow she'll post a new one!!

I'm so excited about the coming year-I signed up for the Creativity Every Day challenge, there's a few online art courses I want to take, I've started painting again, and I'm also hoping to open an Etsy shop later in the year as well. If I'm really lucky, I just may get to go to CZT training in the fall...It's gonna be a great, great year!!
